A query re: weapon groups

I like the proposed change to the warlock's weapon groups very much, I was thinking along the same lines myself.
However, I am a little confused as to the way in which the warlock gains new groups. Are they required to choose a new group after rank 8
at the expense of a profession skill?
To clarify I like the idea that they are limited in this way, I don't think that they should get it all their own way.

Cheers, Alan.

These rules require no change to the normal 'Skills of the Mighty' rules. Weapon groups is a seperate component, and are chosen at 1st, 5th, 9th, 13th and 17th in addition to the usual skills of the mighty available from 8th rank onward. Note that at 29th rank a Warlock will have mastered all weapons - though I think this is a acceptable advantage for such a high ranking character and is unlikely to unbalance the profession. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Thanks for that clarification.
I'm tempted to try it both ways, mind you depending on what kind of magic levels I want.

Cheers, Alan.
