In one of my adventures I foresaw one of the party trying to drink two guards under the table in order to free a prisoner. Although they solved the problem in another way (mirage spell) I had the following simplified rule planned:
1st Ale - no check needed 2nd Ale - roll as weak poison 3rd Ale - roll as medium poison 4th and further Ales - role as strong poison Failing the poison check would have put the guard (or character) into an inebriated sleep. It should be noted that the ruling was designed with game play and not realism in mind... |
